I hope everyone had a great Christmas. What a way to end the year! We had a couple days of freezing rain/snow and then it is topped off with this for two days. My husband plowed twice today. Happy Canada Day everyone! It's been a beautiful long weekend. I've been cooking outside everyday over an apple wood fire. Too hot for cooking inside. Watching some of the live Canada Day celebrations on CBC today. Cooking steak later on the fire. Gorgeous weather.

My Uncle who was my dad's identical twin landed on the beaches of Normandy that catastrophic day. He managed to make it to Caan where he was wounded. In his later years a couple of his sons took my uncle to Normandy for a D-Day celebration.
