the “grower” feed is meant as a sole ration for frankenchickens. if you have more ordinary birds then feeding laying mash now (along with all the other goodies they likely get) would be fine (in my opinion).

Gidday- yep, going full throttle getting ready for winter. Got a nasty cold today.
Started an exercise program- After a nasty hot summer i’d lost a lot of stamina. I got lots of work “half done”, half to get it all done.

Resident crows....hmmm... the crows are gone here, from my childhood until last spring we had crows.

I would expect a wild critter to contain worms or parasites.

Nice catch!

And to think the red fox is not native to North America, the Brits introduced them as they thought non of the native animals was “sporting” to hunt.

Ottawa "relocates" their large wildlife "rescues" in Outaouais, I bet you are glad to hear that Skinny” The Ottawa Citizen had an article about 10 years ago that many individuals and others who live trap animals: squirrels, skunks, raccoons, etc drive them across the Champlain Bridge and leave them...
