Re: Oyster shell
I buy my poultry feed at Peavey Mart all the time. As of 2 weeks ago they still didn't have any. I checked after I read your reply Linda and now they have "Layer Blend Oyster Shell Pellets". I've never bought any shell pellets. Is that what you have? What are they like?

Oyster shell
We have not been able to buy bags of crushed oyster shell for at least a year. I haven't heard any reason why. Is it the same in Ontario?

Re: New pup
Update. Teddy is doing great. He will be 1 year old May 3. Here's a picture of my two dogs playing outside on one of the nice days we have had lately. The black one is Trixie. She's 5 years old.

Egg shortage
I saw on the US news that they are having an egg shortage because of the Avian flu. They expect it to last a long time because of the number of chickens that died or were put down. I wonder if biosecurity measures didn't work, or if a lot of the producers don't use biosecurity measures.

Re: New pup
His manners aren't that great. He likes to pounce on me when I'm sitting on the couch, and he has a habit of jumping up, waay up, when gets excited. His front paws already reach my shoulders. I'm still glad I got him.

Re: Good Morning
I'm feeding my aging chickens and buying eggs for the winter. It's cheaper to buy the eggs than to pay for the electricity I would use to have a light on enough for my hens to lay. They are back talking about putting in a wind farm down the road from me. The energy company has to get a contract with...

Re: About those groceries ...warning
My friend buys large bags of frozen cranberries and makes her own juice. I think I will try that. They might be on sale for Christmas.

New pup
After several months of thinking and looking, I found a new pup I wanted. I got him Oct. 8. He was 5 months old then. He came from a breeder in Winnipeg. She was going to keep him for herself, then decided to sell him. A friend told me about the ad on Facebook. He's awesome! Already house trained, p...
