Re: Your Rescue Cats & others

I have 4 cats but none have ever been feral. 3 in the house - one from the Humane Society, one purebred from a breeder in Ontario, one from an ad on the internet - and one in the chicken building. He was a stray, but tame, kitten someone found in Regina and couldn't keep. The one outside is shut in ...

Seeds

We had a community seed exchange last weekend. Only 4 people took part but it was fun and I came home with several new seed packets. All of mine were flowers except for some blue corn. I'm looking forward to trying to grow them all.

Re: Nesting

He's a peach-faced lovebird. I've had him for a long time. He is hand tame. He was hand fed as a baby. When he has a mate, he becomes protective and not so hand friendly. I got him when he was about 8 months old from someone who didn't want him any more. I bought a female lovebird (Sunny) from a pet...

Nesting

When I cleaned Peep's cage today he started to shred newspaper and tuck it under his feathers like he would if he were nesting. He doesn't have a mate any more so maybe it was wishful thinking. The days are a bit longer and it was sunny today (but quite cold). It's starting to feel more spring-like....

Re: Milk

Isn't milk filtered anyway when they process it? It seems they are making it sound like something new is being done, when maybe it's not. Kind of like the ads or labels that say "gluten free" when a product wouldn't have gluten in it anyway.

There's a Great Dane wolfhound cross on Kijiji Regina. Wonder what that would be like?

Milk

I bought a 4L jug of 2% Dairyland milk today at Walmart. The price was 13 cents more than the last time I bought it, and it had the word "filtered" on the shelf label. The label on the jug is the same as always and it makes no mention of "filtered" milk. What's with the filtered milk? I heard someth...
