Re: A Survey into your Attitudes about Chickens
Are you one of those people that phone taking a survey> I tell them about my son who is a surveyor. He looks through that telescope-level doohickey when they are building roads and houses and stuff. Most of the so called surveyors that phone dont even have a doohickey or know what I am talking abou...

Re: A Survey into your Attitudes about Chickens
I will be happy to complete your survey. Are you only looking for participants from Canada? If you have friends throughout the world I'd be happy to get information from them as well! It doesn't matter where they live, my focus is on Canada but I have responses from the UK, Australia and even Bulga...

A Survey into your Attitudes about Chickens
Hi All! This is such a wonderful group to belong to! The advice I've gotten so far is fantastic and I love seeing all your poultry! I have a favour to ask - I am a recent graduate of a marketing school interested in chickens and people's attitudes towards poultry. I am looking to gather information ...
Re: Bamboo
It's very invasive. I had a garden job a few years back where it took over the property. We had to dig down a good 6 feet and sift out the roots (any remaining roots re-grow). Grow in pots or it will take over, we dug up to the concrete driveway and were finding roots that we couldn't remove because...

Leg Bands
Hello all! I’m looking to get some leg bands for my birds but I’m not sure on sizing or where to buy. I have one Muscovy duck, one RIR/WPR mix chicken and two Belgian D’uccles. The band is really important for my Muscovy who has just discovered her ability to fly to the roof. Soon she’ll be able go ...

Re: Am I worrying too much?
Thanks, everyone! It did clear up after a while. She is a little piggy (though a picky one) so I have no doubt she got into something that didn't agree with her and stopped eating it after this incident.

Re: Am I worrying too much?
Also from the duck. Now the
has changed from green to reddish brown. Don’t see any obvious blood or anything this is just not consistent with what I’ve seen her eating.

Am I worrying too much?
My Muscovy Duck, who is 9 weeks old, started pooping weirdly this morning. Now normally I attribute changes to food (watermelon, lettuce etc) but I'm worried because shes having a lot of liquid - pure urate poops this morning. I have attached photos. Any advice? Am I panicking too early? She's still...

New Chicks
Hatched out a few chicks a while back, just saw posting about them is an obligation. one I am happy to fulfill. I have 4 right now, planning to get a few more in the spring. The duck is Tanwyn, and the largest chick (a mix of RIR and White Plymouth Rock) is Scarlet. They're my oldest, got them at ab...

Mentor Search
I am a new poultry owner, so excited to be on this journey. I am also a really worried new feathered friend mom? I need a mentor to help answer questions specifically on Muscovy Ducks and Chickens. I can't find all the information I need online so I'm reaching out to see if there may be someone who ...
