Re: WTB: SOP book
Hmm. Then maybe I should just buy the new one? That's a tough call. I want it for JG & FBCM (which I know well anyway), Ameraucana & other birds I might get. It would be nice to know which birds are the ones getting changes first though, as the first 2 I mentioned are my focus birds.

WTB: SOP book
Not much else to say...I am looking for a recent SOP book that someone is willing to part with. Preferably in good shape and a non-smoking home.

Wanted: Jumbo Coturnix hatching eggs & Bearded Partridge silkie eggs
I am looking for Jumbo coturnix hatching eggs from a respected breeder who takes the time to select their breeders for solid bone structure & weight. I have wild type pharoahs and pied & it looks like I have a few celedon as well in my flock presently. I also am looking for some good looking bearded...

Re: Bielefelder chicks, juveniles or adults
Thanks for the suggestions.
I have decided to go a different direction and so my bielefelder hen will just stay with the giants. She seems comfy with them. My new direction? I will be getting erminette eggs. They arrive along with some new blood for my FBCM this Wednesday.

Re: Bielefelder chicks, juveniles or adults
Thanks. I don't know how I missed this. I had better check my notification settings, I guess! I just lost my rooster to the harsh cold spell that we had, so now all I have is a hen.
I have emailed her.

Re: Brinsea Mini II Advance questions/humidity probe, etc.
Thanks. That is interesting. Ours didn't have an issue with humidity disappearing quickly at that point. Maybe external humidity issues where at play?
I put in my other indicator sensor, just because I prefer to know the numbers. I was just hoping to find something smaller.

Re: Brinsea Mini II EX or similar
The Brinsea arrived. It is a Mini II Advance, so, my second choice.
It arrived in great shape, but now I have questions which I have posted under the incubating thread.

Brinsea Mini II Advance questions/humidity probe, etc.
I have a big redwood & also a styrofoam incubator. I recently bought a used Brinsea Mini for the smaller hatches to use if my broodies aren't cooperating. It doesn't have a humidity sensor. I use a larger temp/humidity sensor in my other incubators but they are too large to put into this tiny incuba...

Re: Black Soldier Fly Meal
I was just coming on here to ask where to get BSF larvae, dried or live (to grow our own), Canadian sourced if possible, and if in MB, even better.
I think its Chubby Meal Worms or something of that sort usually sells them, but they are sold out. Most of their stock is from China too.
