Re: a DOG dilema........
Would you be interested in a dog that is being "retired" by a breeder. One of our best goldens was from Blackpool Goldens in Shaty Bay. We got Polar when he was 2+ yrs and they had decided not to use him in their breeding program. I know that at times breeders, for many different reasons, will put a...

Re: Good Morning - 2023
Hi been sitting in the bushes for a while, but I do like this site - Not sure if you have reached a decision on whether to keep this site or move it. My thoughts are not to move it to facebook - you will spend the most of your time dealing with nasty trolls and scammers. People here are kind and res...

Re: What is left in your veg garden ?
Does anyone know if it's too late to plant garlic? Time got away from me this year (even more so than in previous years ;-)), and I just realized that I haven't even prepared the bed yet. No big deal, it won't take long, but I am more concerned that they will have enough time to establish before th...

Re: Looking for full feathered or RTL EE Pullets
@Jetsko , you can rtl from Willow's in March for sure. Just give her a call and she'll put you on the list. You can purchase as many as you need. You can check with Haley Rose (fb) for EE but she won't have rtl until the end of the summer. Does Willow's have a website or do I find her from this gro...

Looking for full feathered or RTL EE Pullets
Good Morning & Happy New Year I am looking to add 2 full feathered or RTL EE Pullets to my small flock (red sexlink & light sussex). In a perfect world I would add 2 young ladies in March, these young ladies would be of different feather colours / patterns and lay different coloured eggs. I have a s...

Re: My First Broodie
Gracie update Saturday - I removed Gracie & her egg from the nesting box, replaced it with a wire crate with a floor covered in wood shavings. I removed Gracie an additional 3 times from the nest. She was not happy at all. Sunday - I was slow in removing an egg from the other girls and Gracie covere...

Re: My First Broodie
I'm north of Belleville in the Foxboro area. Gracie was roosting with the others this morning - not sure how strong her instinct is yet. She had been laying an egg then sitting on it for 24 hrs, then off for 24 - 48 hrs for a few weeks. This was the first time she sat on an egg for 3 days. I'm still...
