Re: Silkie breeding plans
Hey! What do you think of these two birds? I know the black and white one has some spindly looking tail feathers on top right now. Sometimes he makes them look really nice, but not in these pics lol. He also has purplish earlobes which my (human) girls love. They’re at my dad’s right now so I can’t ...

Re: Assisted ANYTHING
I just tried to pop that tab off, you can’t do it without scratching the paint on your door :/

Re: Assisted ANYTHING
Good to know!! I did actually figure out the hidden key inside the fob. Originally, I thought it was the battery compartment, but with some prying I discovered the key. I never would have guessed popping off a little cover on the door handle! I’m sure this just saved me some frantic googling in a ma...

Re: Assisted ANYTHING
I just checked my VW, no back up key. I’d never taken the time to look before. I just assumed it was like the other keyless entry vehicles I’ve seen that have a little key tucked inside. Yikes. Good to know! I’ll take that battery fob warning more seriously

Joint Order?
Hey! Anyone in the London/Stratford/Cambridge area want to place a joint order for some chicks? I don’t have a particular hatchery in mind, so as long as they have something I’m looking for, it should work :). I’m mostly looking for interesting egg colour but interesting looking birds appeal to me a...

Re: Hatching Service FOUND
Hey, I might be able to save you a drive. I’m in London all the time. My sister is in Cambridge and we get together weekly. Even if I’m not headed her way, she’s done chicken runs for me before 🤣. I’m also in Stratford weekly so even that would cut your drive quite a bit. Let me know :). I’d ask to ...

Re: PAINT ~ Silkie breeding?
I just realized I have a painted silkie hen! LOL. She was supposed to be white but ended up with some black spots. I thought that made her worth “less” because she wasn’t truly white. I didn’t look into breeding at all when I bought them, I just wanted a few silkies for my daughters and hoped one wo...

Re: Dirty birds
My really fluffy silkie pullet had the same thing. I did cut off the poopcicle lol. I was concerned because she hadn’t fixed it herself after a few hours so I was worried it would just get worse. No problems since! You can’t see where I trimmed either, it was not a lot.
