Re: Eeek what is it? Mmmmmmmm
LOL Ok, so I used to make yoghurt in the instant pot too but then I started using it for chicken and soups. The last two batches of yoghurt tasted and smelled like chicken and seasoning! I cleaned the ring- twice. I also “cooked” vinegar & lemon and apple juice & cinnamon. I thought it worked both t...

Re: Me an the boys got into a rumble
My dogs found a raccoon with distemper at the farm about 2 weeks ago. I didn’t know what was wrong with it, but it’s eyes were completely closed with white gunk. My dad said distemper and he was right. Dogs were fine, thankfully.

My kijiji dog is also worth her weight in gold- and she’s a Great Dane ;). But, I agree you have to be so careful. Mine was still under a year old. They said she spent her days and nights in her crate because she tore up garbage and ran around like a ding dong. 3 big walks per day and a “last piddle...

Re: Planting out
Planted my tomatoes this week. And the peppers. Beans are growing in my little starter pots but I still have to figure out where to trellis them. The chickens destroyed my lettuce. I thought they ruined the peas too but they bounced back! I have some other stuff to plant still but I bought the seedl...

Silkie Hens
Hi All! Anyone near Perth County with some silkie hens they’re willing to sell? I’ve got two lovely roosters (who were purchased as “hens”) that don’t have any companions. I’m in Cambridge, London and Stratford often. Live in St Marys. Willing to travel a bit. I can’t take any hen/rooster pairs- I’m...

Re: Silkie breeding plans
I don’t have proper hens for him right now :/. The frizzle one chases around a mixed hen that he is with but even then, not too interested. And the other one, stormy, just hangs out with/under The Rooster (frizzle)- he’s only about 6 months old though. I need a hen BADLY. I had a painted silkie hen,...
