Re: New! not much experienced yet but interested and ready to commit!

Generally, waterfowl are messy if they have water and mud to play in. And because most domestic waterfowl can't fly, they are easy targets for predators. Imo, that's about it for the cons of waterfowl ownership. The pros include that they are very hardy and weather resistant, ducks eat a lot of bugs...

Forgot I had this photo on my phone as well. This is the original red shield pair I got back in the spring.

WTB, Shetland gander.

I know it’s a long shot, but I’m looking for a Shetland gander for my old Shetland goose. I’ve reached out to the only 2 breeders I know of in Ontario, but no luck. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks.

German Owl Pigeons

Recently added 2 new pairs of Old German Owl pigeons, from one of the best OGO breeders, to a pair I got from him in the spring. This is one pair (moulting), and I have a red shield pair and a red bar pair. Just beautiful birds.

Greenhouse “heater”.

Don’t know how well this would work up north, but looks like it could work in southern Ontario. I could also see it being modified to work with bird coops.

Wanted: Old English gander.

It’s a long shot but does anyone have, or know of someone who has, an Old English gander available? Looking for a mate for my girl.

Re: Bantam Cornish

I have a small breeding group of dark Cornish, but didn't bother hatching any out this year because nobody seemed interested in buying any last year.

Portable generator propane adaptor.

A few months ago I bought a new portable generator to replace our old one. Our biggest concern is ensuring that we can operate our furnace and well pumps during power outages, and our local CT had an instore sale on Generac 7500E that can take care of this and much more. Thing is, I had really wante...
