SO this one is for @modern17. We are having guinea hen which we brined in this recipe (sort of) https://pallensmith.com/recipes/recipe/ ... st-turkey/ using some hard cider. Debate ATM is whether I wrap it in the bacon or we have bacon sandwiches now!

We had a lovely (just the 2 of us) meal of mostly home grown food.
I cooked a small turkey - a 7lbs 9 oz. Artisan Gold; roasted butternut squash; mashed potatoes (boiled with a clove of garlic); and gingered carrots. DH made the mushroom gravy. No greens for this meal, but that was OK.
