I just watched the laughing chickens. That is so TOTALLY AWESOME! I never heard of them before, now I want one!!!! I also only found out a few years ago that hens can crow, I watched a bunch on YouTube, which was good because when I got a pair of Sebright chicks, the little hen would crow. She was a good layer and her eggs were fertile so nothing wrong there but I guess she figured since the rooster was a dud, she better wear the pants in the family.

Ha! Ha! The laughing chickens are hilarious but I don't think my neighbours would like them.

I would definitely be up for that trip! Could be dangerous though...I have no plans for pheasants,but you know what they say about good intentions...

If you enjoyed the "Laughing chickens" another link that led me to the video. Prices and worldwide shipping too but still likely a hurdle or too.
Also have the green junglefowl (similar to gray)

Green Jungle Fowl - I forgot about these birds but LongCrows post above reminded me. Supposedly where the blue egg gene comes from. also been used to make some very pretty hybrids that were very important in the Indonesian culture. see LongCrows link above for more info about them.
